7th & 8th grade students are creating a detailed map of Minnesota on the classroom floor. First, students had to locate various physical and political features of Minnesota on their own small-scale map. Now they must work as a team to create a larger scale map and label 11 reservations (7 Ojibwe & 4 Sioux) and then add their physical features. (lakes & rivers)

Collecting "Pennies for Patients" with help of Mr.Hubbard!
This quarter MLA's student council will be participating in "Pennies for Patients". During the campaign students will be collecting pennies, nickels, dimes, & quarters. You can find collection containers at area businesses and throughout MLA. All proceeds go to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Their goal is "to find a cure for leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin's disease, mylenoma, and to improve the quality of life of patients and families." So please give generously!
